iPhone App not seeing device

    Trying to make this work…I’ve tried resetting the device…it does connect to my network (confirmed by reviewing my router) but the IPhone app on both my IPhone and IPad only show “Garage Door Status CHECKING…

    Before I return this back to Amazon – any ideas?

    During the setup process, 2 things happen:
    1. The Garage Door Controller will get your home wifi name and password.
    2. The serial number of the GDC is saved in your app (iPhone or Android).
    I believe, the first part was completed successfully, but the second part was not completed. I would suggest that you start from scratch again. Press the reset button of your GDC twice to factory-reset your GDC. Then in the app, select the setup process.

    Thanks for the reply but unfortunately, I spent over an hour resetting the device many times and starting over. Never got past the device joining the network. I have already sent it back to Amazon.

    I use a Netgear orbi Network. The 5G 2.5G networks have the same name. The connectivity wasn’t working until after the firmware upgrade. I’m managed to get that installed by setting up at 2.5 g only Network.

    That’s my theory anyway. It works now!
