WIFI GARAGE
CONVERSION KIT

Premium wifi garage door openers often have a feature to connect your garage door to the internet. Similar to other internet-connected appliances, this allows your garage door to be controlled remotely and to send alerts to the users when requested. Internet of things (IOT) is the trend. Is the cost justified? A garage door opener with IOT features often costs upward of a hundred dollars more than a similar model without such features. Furthermore, if your garage door opener is not broken, it is even more difficult to justify upgrading it to a smart garage door. This is when our product, Garage Door Controller (GDC), comes into play.

GDC is a Wifi Garage Door Opener Conversion Kit developed and manufactured by Home IOT Products Inc. For less than the price of a garage door keypad or a remote, you can retrofit your existing garage door opener to a wifi garage door opener. If you are in the market for a new garage door opener, get a base model and upgrade it with our GDC. You will save money!

Free Android/iPhone App

To use GDC, you do not need Amazon Alexa or Google Home. You just need to download a free app from Google Play or App Store. To use this app, you do not need to provide your email address or any identity to register. The app uses the MAC address to uniquely identify your GDC. Since there is no association of your GDC to your identity, there is no way for any hacker to find out the owner of your GDC. This adds security.

The app was designed with “simplicity” in mind. The user interface is clean and simple. You do not need to be a tech-savvy to operate it!

Is It Secure

We take security seriously. Firstly, we do not take any user identification during the setup process. You do not have to worry about identity theft with us. The app identifies your unique GDC by the serial number. Your app running in your phone only learns the serial number of your GDC during the setup process. Nobody else knows the serial number of your GDC. Even if someone knows the serial number, he would not know who owns it or where it is located.

The communication between your phone and your GDC is through a Google Service. You don’t have to worry about your information going through an unknown server. Your data is going through a known secured service. Our company do not have anything to do with your data. Communication to and from the Google server is through HTTPS protocol which your banks use for online banking. On top of that, we also encrypt any commands going to your GDC . That is, encrypted data over HTTPS protocol. It is impossible to hack the app to communicate to your GDC.
