Initial desktop installation of app and connection to GDC was successful. However, after connecting GDC box to garage door opener and turning power back on, the GDC was not communicating with the app. Note: there is strong wifi signal in the garage. The app status is “CHECKING…” and Garage Door Button is a grey circle with a red ‘X’.
I tried new setup from beginning again, connected to the garage door and then again disconnected at my desk. I deleted and reinstalled the app, I reset the GDC by pushing reset button twice, and I forgot the wifiGDC broadcasting network. I can get the wifiGDC network to broadcast, but my phone is unable to connect and so I cannot get to the WiFiManager screen and cannot complete connecting the GDC to my home wifi network. I have tried on two different phones and cannot complete setup.Sorry for my late response. Did you verify your set up on your desk? The best way to verify your setup is to check if your app can detect open-close status by covering the sensor and opening it. After a successful setup, the GDC should remember the settings in non-volatile memory. When you tried to connect to wifiGDC but could not connect to it, I saw that happening in some Samsung phones. I believe these phones try not to connect to wifis that do not have internet connections. In that situation, try to perform a power cycle on the phone to make it forget that wifiGDC does not have internet connection. If it still does not work, please post again.
